Company History:

In October 2009, Environmental Testing of Southern Colorado, an affilliate of Environmental Testing Company of Parker, Colorado, was established by Bob and Kelley Barnes to provide environmental testing services to clients in Southern Colorado.

Working in conjunction with homeowners, realtors, remediation companies, construction companies as well as HOA’s, and management companies, ETSC offers Healthy Home assessments, indoor air quality assessments, flood assessments including categories 1, 2 and 3, radon measurements, state certified asbestos building inspections, and property inspections for real estate transfers.

BIO:

Robert Barnes, a Colorado native, grew up in Longmont, when it was a small town, and graduated from Longmont High School. He attended Western State College in Gunnison and shortly thereafter married his high school sweetheart, Kelley, and moved to Frederick; there they lived for 22 years while raising their family. During those years there were many opportunities for Bob to explore different career paths: mechanical, electrical, building construction and maintenance, engineering, manufacturing, and management, all of which contributed to his vast knowledge base of ‘building science’.

In 1998 they moved to Custer County near Wetmore, where Bob and Kelley found their future retirement home to remodel and, Bob found his previous experiences in building science invaluable.

Environmental Testing of Southern Colorado gives Bob yet another opportunity to use his building science knowledge and experience in the indoor air quality and home inspection fields, to help provide safer and healthier homes to his customers.
